Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BestCV.pro ("the Service"), operated by BestCV ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BestCV is an AI-powered CV tailoring service. You upload your existing CV and a job description, and our AI generates a tailored version of your CV optimised for that role. The Service is designed for job seekers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

3. Account & Authentication

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. You must not share your session or allow others to access the Service through your account.

4. Payments & Refunds

Each CV generation costs a fixed fee displayed at checkout (15 AED, 15 SAR, or 15 QAR depending on your selected currency). Payments are processed securely via Stripe. All sales are final. No refunds will be issued except in cases where the Service fails to deliver a generated CV due to a confirmed technical fault on our side.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: tailoring your own CV for legitimate job applications. You agree not to:

  • Upload content that you do not own or have the right to use.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.

6. Prohibited Conduct & Abuse Policy

The following activities are strictly prohibited and constitute abuse of the Service. Violation of any of these rules will result in immediate and permanent account termination without refund, and may result in legal action:

6.1 Fraudulent Content

  • Uploading a CV containing fabricated qualifications, fake degrees, forged certifications, or invented work experience.
  • Using the Service to generate CVs that misrepresent your identity, nationality, professional licences, or right to work.
  • Submitting a CV that belongs to another person without their explicit written consent.

6.2 System Abuse & Exploitation

  • Automated, scripted, or bot-driven access to the Service (scraping, bulk generation, API abuse).
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI prompts, models, or any proprietary logic used by the Service.
  • Circumventing payment mechanisms, exploiting pricing bugs, or using stolen payment methods.
  • Creating multiple accounts to exploit free credits, referral bonuses, or promotional offers.
  • Sharing, reselling, or redistributing generated CVs as a commercial service.

6.3 Harmful or Illegal Content

  • Uploading files that contain malware, viruses, or executable code.
  • Injecting prompt-manipulation text into the CV or job description fields in an attempt to alter the AI's behaviour, extract system instructions, or generate content outside the scope of CV tailoring.
  • Uploading or generating content that is discriminatory, defamatory, or violates the laws of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or your country of residence.

6.4 Rate Abuse & Denial of Service

  • Submitting an excessive number of requests in a short time period designed to overload the Service.
  • Deliberately uploading corrupt, oversized, or malformed files to disrupt processing.

6.5 Referral System Abuse

  • Creating fake accounts to generate referral credit.
  • Spamming referral links in unsolicited messages or public forums.
  • Any form of self-referral through multiple accounts or identity manipulation.

We reserve the right to investigate suspected abuse, suspend accounts during investigation, and permanently ban users found in violation. We may report illegal activity to relevant authorities in the UAE and other applicable jurisdictions.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

CVs generated by the Service are produced by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that the output will be error-free, factually accurate, or suitable for any particular job application. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing the generated CV before submitting it to any employer. BestCV is not responsible for any hiring decisions, rejections, or consequences arising from the use of a generated CV.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content you upload (your original CV, photo, and job description). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process this content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service. Generated CVs are your property. All other intellectual property (branding, code, AI models, prompts, templates) belongs to BestCV.

9. Data Retention

Uploaded CVs, photos, and generated documents are stored securely and retained for a reasonable period to allow you to download your results. We may delete stored files after 90 days of inactivity. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.

10. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BestCV and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific CV generation that gave rise to the claim.

12. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
